12/31/2023 0 Comments W231 124gr fmj fn 9mm load data![]() Good information, bad information, it doesn't matter. Today, everything is on-line and instantly accessible. People just bought new guns or quit reloading. I saw it several times while shooting IHMSA. Sometimes, those that didn't, blew up guns. When I started reloading Al Gore had not yet invented the internet. So I wonder if the powder has changed at all, or if they are just being more conservative with their "max" numbers so people don't actually load near max. Have also some time ago purchased a new Kimber-T2 in 38 super and bought a few thousand 125g HAP pills hopefully for it and perhaps also the 2 X 9's I have, the Sig-X5 and a pimped Inox 92FS and limits to what I can get due to where I live is a huge problem and would rather use up the 231 I have in both the super and 9's if it's practical, no PF needed at present club matches so all I need is accuracy on paper.Īnyone have an easy shooting paper load for both the 125g HAP projectile for use in the 38 Super and 9 X 19 using the same W-231, reloading not a hassle and not new to either loading or shooting. Having a second go at competitive shooting with a break of 10 years from any previous shooting due to health reasons, 4.0 - 4.1 / 231 - 125g LCN was always one load that seemed to work in most all my past 9mm pistols I had tried it in, my new Sig X5-AR has shown XX pressure with that same old recipe on some old LCON pills laying about, and with the Sig being no doubt somewhat tighter than many other guns, would this be the cause or perhaps also the new batch of 231 powder ? until I have a load for either I'm using factory FMJ ammo in the both which works great although a bit Exe $ wise. ![]()
